Care at Home Manager
I joined Everyday Care & Support in June 2022 as Care at Home Area Manager for North Shields. I manage Edith Moffat House, Fontburn Court and Thomas Ferguson House.
Prior to this, I worked for Age UK Northumberland for 8 years, this is where I started my career in Health and Social Care. I started out as a Support Worker in the community, I really loved the thought of helping those in need.
From the start, I knew I wanted to progress seeing so many vulnerable customers and knowing that I was making a real difference in their day-to-day lives, promoting their independence, seeing them smile and giving them choices enabling them to remain living independently in their own homes.
I did progress quickly and within a year I took on the role of Area Coordinator, enrolled on my NVQs and completed any training courses offered and worked my way up to Senior Case Manager.
I wanted a new challenge and an opportunity to progress further in my career and make a real difference.
I jumped at the chance to join this team. I love my job and the satisfaction I get knowing I have had a positive impact on the lives of our customers.
We do amazing things for our older and vulnerable customers and I can safely say I am proud to be part of a team empowering individuals in later life.
